navels
The navel is the most popular of all piercings, Not without its problems though once healed the navel is among the most attractive and socially acceptable piercing being performed today. Healing however can be slow, and 6-12 months of healing is not uncommon. Healing will occur faster in a more warmer summer environment when the area is less restricted by clothing, but it is not critical to its success. The piercing is usually placed through the top ridge of tissue and care should be exercised when selecting jewellery.
Navel jewellery can migrate or lean or "dress" to one side in certain clients and consultation and examination is the best way to be steered in the right direction. Outies in the opinion of many piercers, (including this one) are best left unpierced. Jewellery can range from captive bead rings, curved and circular barbells and as our navel piercing pictures show, a great variety of styles can be chosen.
Tattooed navels are greatly complimented by a piercing in this area.
