nape

Nape piercings are peformed at the lower section of the neck. Anywhere along the base of the neck from the top of the back to the hairline can be pierced. As long as the skin can safely be lifted from the body wall, then no harm can come from piercing this area. The most commonly used jewellery is body acceptable nylon (PTFE) which can be autoclaved and then a variety of threaded beads can be screwed on. One of the more popular piercings today. surface piercings

Surface piercings can be placed anywhere on the human body as long as the skin is accesable. Like the nape piercing the best material for this piercing is an autoclavable nylon (PTFE) in which beads of a clients choice can then be threaded on. The skin should be plient and be able to be lifted away from the body wall of the area to be pierced. Because the entitre body is covered in skin the rejection or non-rejection of this piercing is always discussed on a one on one client to piercer basis.
